Psychotherapy-Counseling for Adults

Psychotherapy is a process of healing and self-awareness that comes about through the relationship with a therapist. It always starts at the request of the patient, who seeks relief from a symptom, treatment of a difficulty or impasse, or better self-understanding. In a caring environment, the patient is encouraged to express their thoughts and feelings. In this environment, the person has the opportunity to process the experiences that determined their evolution, to understand the root causes of what is happening to them and to discover new functional ways of thinking, communicating and behaving.

The first sessions are dedicated to studying the problem, building a relationship of trust, and partially relieving the symptom. Then we go further, trying to identify the real causes of the problem and to relate the experiences of the past with the present, thus giving a new dimension to the future. The events which contributed to the creation of the difficulty take on a new meaning, and the person with new abilities and greater self-knowledge, can now function harmoniously in the present, without mental pain, tension or stress but also to approach the future with optimism.
